About the Role
This full-time position combines hands-on chemical expertise with field operations across customer sites. You'll spend your days receiving, classifying, and preparing regulated waste materials for safe transportation and disposal, with substantial overtime opportunities available. Work typically occurs Monday through Friday, 5 AM to 5 PM, in both indoor laboratory and outdoor industrial environments.
What You'll Do
- Receive and evaluate hazardous chemical waste from customer facilities to determine proper classification and handling requirements
- Segregate and organize chemical materials according to federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Package and containerize waste in compliance with DOT and EPA standards
- Perform quality inspections to verify proper containment, labeling, and documentation before transport
- Maintain detailed safety records and regulatory compliance documentation for all materials processed
- Work across multiple customer locations including manufacturing plants, laboratories, and industrial facilities
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license; commercial driver's license required or willingness to obtain CDL with company sponsorship
- Understanding of hazardous waste classification, DOT shipping requirements, and EPA/RCRA regulations
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and handle containers of varying sizes and weights
- Meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to safety protocols
- Reliable transportation and availability for early morning start times
- Basic chemistry knowledge or prior environmental waste handling experience preferred
