Research Scientist

About the Role

We seek a Research Scientist to identify and validate cancer-associated biomarkers using advanced analytical techniques. You'll work with clinically collected patient samples and cell line specimens to uncover molecular signatures that improve oncology care and treatment outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Conduct biomarker discovery and validation studies using tandem mass spectrometry, specifically HPLC-MS/MS (high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry)
• Prepare, process, and analyze clinical samples and laboratory cell culture samples with scientific rigor
• Perform routine instrument calibration, maintenance, and quality assurance to ensure reliable results
• Develop and optimize analytical methods for sensitive biomarker detection and quantification
• Interpret complex mass spectrometry data using statistical analysis and bioinformatics tools
• Document experimental procedures and results in compliance with regulatory and institutional standards
• Collaborate with oncology researchers, pathologists, and clinical teams on translational research initiatives
• Contribute to scientific publications and present findings at professional conferences

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
• Proven expertise in mass spectrometry techniques, particularly HPLC-MS/MS and analytical chemistry
• Professional experience in biomarker research, proteomics, or clinical laboratory science
• Strong quantitative skills and experience with research data analysis
• Demonstrated commitment to scientific accuracy, precision, and reproducibility
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary research teams
