About the Role
We're looking for an experienced interior designer who thrives at the intersection of aesthetics and function. You'll own design direction on complex residential projects, from initial concept through construction administration, while maintaining close relationships with development partners who trust your expertise and vision.
What You'll Do
- Lead design strategies for multifamily residential projects, including market-rate apartments, senior living communities, and student housing developments
- Develop interior concepts, material palettes, and finishes specifications that balance resident experience with budget and timeline constraints
- Present design proposals to clients, developers, and stakeholders, translating vision into compelling narratives
- Collaborate with architects, landscape designers, and project managers to integrate interior design into the broader development vision
- Guide junior designers and coordinate with consultants to ensure design integrity through all project phases
- Manage project documentation, specifications, and construction details to support seamless implementation
What We're Looking For
- 10–15 years of professional interior design experience, with demonstrated expertise in residential or multifamily housing
- Strong portfolio showcasing design leadership on completed residential projects
- Excellent client communication skills and ability to build lasting professional relationships
- Proficiency with design software and the ability to create clear, compelling presentations
- Collaborative mindset with proven experience mentoring junior team members
- Knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and construction practices as they apply to residential design
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
