Landscape Designer

Green Biz Nursery and Landscaping is seeking a full-time Landscape Designer to join our team in Hope Mills, Cumberland County. If you combine creative vision with technical design expertise and want to craft outdoor spaces that transform properties, we'd like to meet you.

About the Role

You'll meet directly with clients to understand their vision, then translate those conversations into cohesive landscape designs that blend aesthetics, functionality, and budget. Working from our Hope Mills location, you'll manage the full design process—from initial consultation through detailed drawings and project estimates—creating plantscapes, hardscapes, lighting schemes, irrigation layouts, and waterscape features that enhance residential and commercial properties across Cumberland County and beyond.

What You'll Do

• Conduct one-on-one client consultations to clarify project goals and assess site conditions
• Evaluate project scope and prepare accurate cost estimates
• Produce landscape designs using CAD software and professional drawing tools
• Integrate plantings, hardscape materials, outdoor lighting, irrigation systems, and water features into cohesive designs
• Develop creative, site-specific design recommendations that reflect current trends and client preferences
• Partner with installation crews to ensure designs translate accurately into finished projects
• Maintain knowledge of local plant varieties, growing conditions, and seasonal considerations

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated proficiency with landscape design software and CAD platforms
• Portfolio of completed landscape design work
• Strong understanding of plant selection, spacing, and horticultural principles
• Familiarity with hardscape design, irrigation systems, and outdoor lighting applications
• Ability to listen to clients and communicate design concepts clearly through sketches and renderings
• Organized approach to project timelines, budgets, and client deliverables
• Comfort working on-site and collaborating with landscaping teams
