MCKESSON is seeking a Sr. Director, Compliance & Ethics - Pharmacy to lead comprehensive compliance and ethics initiatives for our pharmacy division from our Irving, Dallas location. In this executive role, you'll shape compliance strategy and ethical culture across pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to complex federal and state regulations while supporting quality patient care.
About the Role
As Sr. Director of Compliance & Ethics for Pharmacy, you'll own executive responsibility for developing, implementing, and overseeing the pharmacy compliance and ethics program. This full-time position reports to senior pharmacy leadership and directly influences how our organization manages regulatory risk, maintains ethical standards, and builds a culture of integrity across all pharmacy partners and operations.
What You'll Do
- Design and execute pharmacy-specific compliance strategies addressing DEA regulations, state pharmacy board requirements, healthcare fraud and abuse laws, and other applicable frameworks
- Lead pharmacy ethics initiatives, promoting accountability and ethical decision-making throughout pharmacy operations and partner networks
- Oversee compliance monitoring, risk assessments, and audit programs for pharmacy activities
- Guide pharmacy leadership and teams on regulatory requirements, policy interpretation, and compliance best practices
- Develop and deliver compliance training to ensure pharmacy staff understand and follow applicable laws and ethical standards
- Partner with legal, regulatory, and pharmacy operations teams to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective action plans
- Report on compliance and ethics status to senior management and governance bodies
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of leadership experience in pharmacy compliance, healthcare compliance, or regulatory affairs
- Expert knowledge of pharmacy regulations, DEA requirements, state pharmacy laws, and healthcare enforcement landscape
- Demonstrated success leading compliance programs within healthcare or pharmacy organizations
- Strong ability to communicate with and influence executive-level stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or compliance certifications (CCO, CHRC, or equivalent) preferred
- Experience building and scaling compliance training and ethics programs
