CISE Student Assistant

CSUDH Toro Auxiliary Partners seeks a detail-oriented and collaborative CISE Student Assistant to support academic initiatives and student services at California State University, Dominguez Hills in Compton, Los Angeles County. This part-time position offers students the opportunity to gain professional experience while contributing to the university's educational mission.

About the Role

The CISE Student Assistant plays a key role in helping coordinate and deliver programs that strengthen student success and academic engagement across campus. Working within a collaborative team environment, you'll support educational initiatives, manage logistics, and interact directly with students and faculty members.

What You'll Do

• Assist with program coordination, scheduling, and event logistics for academic support initiatives
• Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, correspondence, and record management
• Welcome and direct students; answer questions about programs and available resources
• Collaborate with faculty and professional staff to prepare materials and maintain organized work areas
• Support the implementation of student-centered programs that advance the university's mission
• Assist with general office duties as assigned by supervisors

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled as a student at California State University, Dominguez Hills or eligible student status
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with computers and standard office software
• A genuine interest in supporting fellow students and the campus community
• Ability to work flexible hours including some afternoon and evening availability
