About the Role
As Test Administrator (Brooklyn, NY), you'll be the operational backbone of our testing facility. You'll manage candidate registration, maintain testing equipment, ensure exam security protocols, and create an environment where every candidate can focus on demonstrating their knowledge. This full-time position is critical to our mission of delivering reliable, secure testing experiences across professional and academic sectors.
What You'll Do
- Manage candidate check-in, registration, and identity verification processes
- Proctor exams while maintaining strict security and testing protocols
- Monitor testing center equipment and systems to ensure seamless exam delivery
- Document exam results, incidents, and candidate feedback
- Schedule exams and manage candidate flow throughout the testing day
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide basic IT support to test-takers
- Maintain a professional, secure testing environment that complies with regional and federal regulations
- Communicate effectively with candidates, supervisors, and Pearson support teams
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to remain calm and professional when problem-solving with candidates
- Comfortable with basic computer systems and comfortable learning new software
- Reliability and integrity in a role that demands strict protocol adherence
