About the Role
As a Customer Service Associate at Walgreens in Metairie Terrace, you'll be the welcoming face of our store—the person customers and patients turn to first. You'll manage our checkout experience, operate point-of-sale systems, and deliver the kind of attentive, courteous service that builds customer loyalty and keeps our store running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Greet customers and patients with genuine warmth and offer assistance with products, services, and navigating the store
- Operate assigned cash registers with speed and accuracy while maintaining a friendly, efficient checkout flow
- Process sales transactions, collect payments, and provide fair, courteous service to every customer
- Listen actively to customer concerns and questions, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems to their satisfaction
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and well-stocked to support store operations
- Support pharmacy customers with questions about health, wellness, and over-the-counter products
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping people
- Ability to work efficiently and stay focused in a busy retail pharmacy setting
- Dependable and flexible—comfortable with varied schedules including evenings and weekends
- Comfort with point-of-sale systems and basic math; detail-oriented
- A positive, can-do attitude and commitment to delivering a distinctive customer experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
