Join the City of Rockingham as an Assistant Coordinator (Aquatic Centre) in Rockingham, WA. We're seeking a dedicated professional to support the operations and programming of our seasonal aquatic facility serving the community year-round through diverse water-based initiatives.
About the Role
The Rockingham Aquatic Centre is a vibrant community hub operating seasonally from mid-August through mid-April. As an Assistant Coordinator, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting program delivery, and creating a welcoming environment for members and guests across all ages and abilities.
What You'll Do
- Assist in coordinating and delivering aquatic programs and activities
- Support facility operations and member services
- Help maintain facility safety standards and compliance protocols
- Assist with scheduling, registration, and administrative tasks
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors and program participants
- Support marketing and promotional activities for aquatic programs
- Collaborate with the coordinator and broader community development team
What We're Looking For
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience in community recreation, customer service, or related fields (preferred)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to water safety and member wellbeing
- Flexibility to support seasonal operations and varying schedules

Position Details
This is a full-time temporary position (averaging 38 hours per week) based in Rockingham, WA. The role runs through May 31, 2027. This posting is part of our Community Development and Sport/Recreation division.
