Cherry County Hospital & Clinic seeks a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging department in Valentine, Nebraska. This is a part-time position offering the opportunity to deliver quality diagnostic imaging services in a community healthcare environment.
About the Role
As an Ultrasound Technologist at Cherry County Hospital & Clinic, you'll perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and contribute to the clinical care our patients receive. Operating specialized diagnostic imaging equipment, you'll work directly with patients and physicians to capture the detailed ultrasound imagery necessary for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your work directly supports clinical decision-making and helps guide patient care.
What You'll Do
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across multiple anatomical regions using advanced imaging equipment
- Operate and maintain ultrasound systems according to manufacturer standards, safety protocols, and hospital policies
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, explain the imaging process, and provide reassurance during studies
- Record examination findings, capture diagnostic images, and maintain complete, accurate patient documentation
- Communicate findings and collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical team members to support diagnosis and treatment
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean imaging environment
- Stay current with ultrasound technology advances, imaging protocols, and best practices in diagnostic medicine
What We're Looking For
- Current ARDMS certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Demonstrated professional experience performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations
- Strong patient communication skills and compassionate patient care approach
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Genuine commitment to quality patient care in a community hospital setting
Compensation
We offer competitive compensation ranging from $40.13 to $47.33 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications.
