About the Role
As Principal Water/Wastewater Engineer, you'll take a leadership role in directing major water infrastructure projects. You'll apply technical expertise and innovation to complex water challenges, lead engineering teams, and guide projects from initial concept through successful completion. Your work will directly contribute to communities' ability to manage water resources sustainably and meet critical infrastructure needs.
Your Responsibilities
- Direct the design, planning, and optimization of water supply systems, treatment facilities, and wastewater infrastructure
- Lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases of water infrastructure projects
- Develop engineering solutions that balance regulatory compliance, community requirements, and innovative sustainability practices
- Conduct technical analyses, feasibility studies, and engineering evaluations for complex water challenges
- Mentor and develop junior engineering professionals in water and wastewater disciplines
- Collaborate with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders
- Champion scientific rigor and innovation in water engineering and resource management
What We're Looking For
- Extensive professional background in water/wastewater engineering or related civil infrastructure fields
- Proven experience leading complex water infrastructure projects at a principal or senior engineering level
- Strong technical foundation in water treatment, wastewater management, and infrastructure engineering
- Demonstrated leadership capability and team management experience
- Commitment to scientific excellence, sustainable design, and community-focused engineering solutions
