Technical Account Manager II, Microsegmentation

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks an experienced Technical Account Manager II specializing in Microsegmentation to join our Enterprise Security Group in Penbrook, Dauphin County. This full-time position offers the opportunity to drive customer success and build long-term partnerships with leading organizations deploying advanced network segmentation and zero-trust security architectures.

About the Role

As Technical Account Manager II for Microsegmentation, you'll serve as the strategic bridge between our customers and our security engineering teams. You'll manage complex technical relationships with enterprise clients, ensuring they maximize the value of their Akamai security investments. This role combines technical depth, customer advocacy, and relationship management to support organizations protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive data across global networks.

What You'll Do

• Own the technical success of assigned accounts, proactively managing implementation timelines, deployments, and ongoing optimization of microsegmentation solutions
• Conduct technical assessments, design reviews, and solution architecture discussions with security and infrastructure teams at customer organizations
• Provide expert guidance on zero-trust principles, network segmentation strategies, and best practices for reducing attack surface and lateral movement
• Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with sales to grow wallet share
• Serve as escalation point for technical issues; coordinate with product engineering and customer success teams to resolve complex challenges
• Develop and deliver training, documentation, and enablement materials for customer technical teams

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Technical Account Manager, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect in enterprise security or network technology environments
• Deep technical knowledge of microsegmentation, zero-trust architecture, and network security principles
• Understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, including network design, firewalls, and endpoint security
• Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for executive and technical audiences
• Track record of building customer relationships and ensuring implementation success in complex enterprise environments
• Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously and prioritize effectively
