About the Role

Santa Rosa County School District is hiring full-time paraprofessionals and teacher assistants to support classroom instruction and student learning across our schools. These positions offer the opportunity to work directly with students, collaborate with teachers, and contribute to a positive educational environment in Jay and the surrounding Santa Rosa County area.

What You'll Do

• Provide instructional support under teacher direction to help students master grade-level content and skills
• Assist with classroom management, transitions, and student supervision
• Work with small groups or individual students on academic skill development and reinforcement
• Help prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources
• Support students with social and behavioral needs in a respectful, encouraging manner
• Communicate with teachers and families about student progress and needs

What We're Looking For

For Paraprofessional I positions:

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of at least 48 semester college credit hours toward an Associate's Degree (verified by transcript), OR a passing score on the PRAXIS exam
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructional direction and work as part of a team

For Teacher Assistant I positions:

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of relevant experience supporting students or classrooms
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners
