Join CalAmp in Carlsbad, as Director, Asset Recovery & Law Enforcement Relations. Lead our strategic efforts to recover stolen and missing assets while building critical partnerships with law enforcement agencies nationwide.

About the Role

This leadership position directs all asset recovery operations for CalAmp's connected device ecosystem. You'll oversee recovery initiatives for vehicles, cargo, trailers, industrial equipment, and other assets enabled by CalAmp technology. Your work directly impacts customer success and asset security across our national network.

What You'll Do

  • Lead recovery operations when customers report stolen or missing assets or when recovery alerts are triggered
  • Coordinate directly with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to facilitate asset location and recovery
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with law enforcement partners across the country
  • Oversee the asset recovery team's response protocols and escalation procedures
  • Monitor recovery metrics, success rates, and customer outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in asset recovery operations
  • Serve as primary contact between CalAmp and law enforcement stakeholders

What We're Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience in asset recovery, law enforcement liaison, or related field
  • Strong existing relationships with law enforcement agencies at local, state, or federal level
  • Understanding of vehicle recovery, fleet management, or connected asset tracking systems
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for sensitive law enforcement partnerships
  • Ability to manage multiple recovery cases and prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in vehicle and asset recovery
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
