About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota, you'll deliver patient-centered care in an acute rehabilitation setting. You'll work alongside multidisciplinary teams to support patients recovering from surgery, stroke, spinal cord injury, and other complex medical conditions. Your clinical expertise and compassionate approach will be essential to helping patients regain function and independence.

What You'll Do

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans aligned with rehabilitation goals
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per physician orders and clinical protocols
• Monitor vital signs and patient progress; communicate changes to the healthcare team
• Educate patients and families about recovery processes, self-care, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians to optimize rehabilitation outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed clinical records
• Respond to patient needs and advocate for quality care in a dynamic healthcare environment

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license in Florida
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience in patient care settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and adapt to changing clinical needs
• Compassion for patients and commitment to evidence-based practice
• Experience in rehabilitation, acute care, or similar settings is a plus
