Oracle is hiring a Data Center Facilities Operations Technician V - Mechanical for our Trenton, Mercer County facility. This is a full-time position where you'll take ownership of the mechanical infrastructure that powers our hyperscale data centers, combining hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibility over mission-critical HVAC and mechanical systems.

About the Role

As a senior technician in our facilities operations team, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of complex mechanical systems supporting Oracle's global cloud infrastructure. You'll respond to critical issues, guide system upgrades, and help shape operational standards that keep our data centers running at peak performance. This role offers technical depth and cross-functional collaboration at a level where your decisions directly impact availability and cost efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC and mechanical systems in large-scale data center environments
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on compressors, cooling units, pumps, and related equipment
  • Diagnose complex mechanical failures and implement repairs with minimal downtime
  • Support critical infrastructure events, upgrades, and maintenance windows
  • Document system performance, repairs, and lifecycle metrics to optimize reliability
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement new standards and improvements
  • Mentor junior technicians and contribute to team knowledge development

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive hands-on experience with data center mechanical systems, HVAC design, and industrial refrigeration
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently under pressure
  • Relevant certifications (EPA 608 or 609, or equivalent mechanical/HVAC credentials)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical efficiency, lifecycle management, and system interdependencies
  • Experience with monitoring systems, maintenance scheduling, and technical documentation
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment specifications
  • Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced, highly technical environments
