CommuniCare is hiring a Part-Time PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at our Clarksburg Healthcare Center in Clarksburg, Harrison County, West Virginia. About the Role
As a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant, you'll work alongside our licensed physical therapists to provide therapeutic exercises, mobility assistance, and rehabilitation support to healthcare center residents. Your flexible, as-needed schedule allows you to contribute to meaningful patient outcomes while maintaining work-life balance.
What You'll Do
- Assist patients with prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities under PT supervision
- Help patients with functional mobility, balance, and gait training
- Apply modalities such as heat, cold, and therapeutic ultrasound as directed
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
- Maintain a safe, clean therapy environment and equipment
- Communicate patient responses and concerns to the physical therapist
- Support residents in achieving their rehabilitation and wellness goals
What We're Looking For
- Current PTA licensure in West Virginia
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Physical capability to assist patients safely, including transferring and positioning
- Attention to detail and commitment to resident safety
- Flexibility to work PRN (as-needed) hours
