Join the City of Cincinnati Solicitor's Office as an Assistant City Solicitor/Attorney in our Quality of Life division. In this full-time position based in Cincinnati, Ohio, you'll use litigation strategically to combat blight and strengthen neighborhoods across the city.
About the Role
The Quality of Life division of the City of Cincinnati Solicitor's Office advances community welfare through targeted civil litigation. As an Assistant City Solicitor/Attorney, you'll handle litigation matters that directly support neighborhood improvement and blight abatement efforts. Working in this unclassified position, you'll contribute to meaningful change in Cincinnati's urban environment through the legal system.
What You'll Do
- Represent the City of Cincinnati in civil litigation cases focused on blight abatement and neighborhood quality
- Conduct claims investigation and legal analysis to support Quality of Life initiatives
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents for court proceedings
- Prepare and litigate cases while managing discovery and evidence
- Partner with City departments and community stakeholders on litigation strategy
- Research applicable statutes, ordinances, and case law to strengthen legal positions

- Several years of experience practicing as a plaintiff's attorney
- Solid background in civil litigation matters
- Proven experience investigating and evaluating claims
