About the Role
As a long-term substitute art teacher, you'll assume primary instructional responsibility for assigned visual arts classes at New Prague High School throughout the fall term. You'll implement the district's established curriculum, create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment, and support student growth in both artistic skills and creative thinking.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the district's art curriculum
- Instruct students in visual arts techniques, concepts, and creative processes
- Evaluate student progress through projects, assessments, and classroom participation
- Provide constructive feedback to guide student learning and artistic development
- Manage classroom materials, time, and student engagement to maintain an effective learning environment
