Custodian: Night Maintenance

Join New Prague School District as a Full-Time Custodian: Night Maintenance professional, working the 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM shift in New Prague, Scott County. You'll play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming school facilities that support an excellent learning and work environment for our students and staff.

About the Role

This full-time position includes benefits and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to student success by ensuring all school buildings, grounds, and equipment are properly maintained and cleaned. You'll work the night shift, allowing you to complete custodial and maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to daytime school operations.

What You'll Do

• Clean and sanitize school buildings, classrooms, hallways, and common areas to maintain health and safety standards
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on school facilities and equipment
• Manage grounds maintenance and outdoor facility upkeep
• Maintain inventory of custodial and maintenance supplies
• Follow all safety protocols and district policies while working independently during evening and night hours
• Respond to maintenance requests and address facility issues as they arise

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid boiler license appropriate to the assigned building
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, healthy facilities
• Ability to work independently during evening and night hours
• Physical capability to perform custodial and maintenance duties
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
