In this full-time role, you will be recognized as a leading technical expert in sterile manufacturing and low bioburden processes, supporting the development and production of advanced therapies across multiple therapeutic modalities.
About the Role
As Principal Scientist in Aseptic Control, you bring deep expertise in sterile processing and manufacturing technologies to support our cell and gene therapy programs, small molecule manufacturing, and combination medical device initiatives. You will serve as the primary technical authority for our current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) operations, ensuring our aseptic manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
- Provide expert technical guidance on sterile manufacturing processes and low bioburden processing strategies across therapeutic modalities
- Support manufacturing operations for cell and gene therapy, small molecule, and medical device combination programs within our cGMP facility
- Develop, validate, and optimize aseptic processing methods and controls to ensure product sterility and safety
- Lead technical problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing teams
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement manufacturing innovations and resolve process challenges
- Ensure all manufacturing processes maintain full regulatory compliance with FDA and international guidelines
What We're Looking For
- Advanced degree (PhD or Master's preferred) in pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, or related discipline
- Proven expertise in aseptic processing, sterile manufacturing, or related quality and manufacturing disciplines
- Deep knowledge of cGMP requirements and sterile processing technologies
- Strong experience in cell and gene therapy manufacturing or advanced therapy manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated ability to serve as a technical subject matter expert and mentor within manufacturing organizations
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with ability to lead cross-functional teams
