About the Role

As a Senior Sales and Business Development Representative, you'll lead revenue expansion and strategic partnerships for Ovid Technologies within our Health Research business. This hands-on leadership role involves building relationships with clinical professionals, researchers, and healthcare organizations—advancing their work while growing our presence in the competitive health information services market.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire new healthcare institution and research organization clients
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clinical professionals, institutional decision-makers, and research teams
  • Identify market opportunities and emerging needs within the health research and clinical education sectors
  • Present and demonstrate Ovid platform capabilities to show value in evidence-based learning and research workflows
  • Manage complete sales cycles from prospecting through contract closure and account expansion
  • Collaborate with product and clinical specialists to develop customized solutions for key accounts
  • Contribute to business development strategy and market positioning for the Health Research division

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in healthcare, clinical solutions, or information services
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare and clinical research market, institutional buying processes, and regulatory considerations
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution and results orientation
  • Technical aptitude and ability to quickly grasp complex healthcare platforms and clinical workflows
  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support client relationships and business development
