Methodist Hospital is hiring a Certified Cath Lab Technologist PRN for our cardiac catheterization laboratory in Balcones Heights, Bexar County. This is a full-time position supporting our invasive cardiology program with experienced, licensed professionals.
About the Role
As a Certified Cath Lab Technologist, you'll be an essential member of our cardiac catheterization team, providing clinical support during diagnostic and interventional procedures. You'll work in a dynamic, high-acuity environment where attention to detail and composure directly impact patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and coronary interventional procedures
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized cardiac imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
- Assist physicians during diagnostic angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention
- Maintain strict sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols
- Monitor vital signs and hemodynamic parameters throughout procedures
- Document procedural data accurately and ensure proper record-keeping
- Communicate effectively with interventional cardiologists, nursing staff, and team members
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition or clinical emergencies
What We're Looking For
- Current Certified Cardiac Catheterization Technologist (CCCT) credential or equivalent state certification
- Demonstrated experience in cardiac catheterization laboratory settings
- Solid understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common interventional procedures
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to procedural detail
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift equipment
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
