About the Role

As a Regional CDL-A Driver at Ryder, you'll operate class 8 trucks hauling no-touch freight on established regional lanes. You'll work drop-and-hook arrangements that minimize time at dock, giving you more road time and fewer operational delays. This role combines the stability of regional work with the earning potential drivers deserve.

What You'll Earn

• Solo miles: $0.59 per mile (2,400 to 2,800 miles weekly)
• Drop and hook pay: $14.00 per drop/hook transaction
• Per diem: $50 per night (typical 3 to 5 nights per week overnights)
• Target weekly earnings: $1,900

What You'll Do

• Operate company-maintained tractor-trailers on regional medical and pharmaceutical freight routes
• Execute drop-and-hook pickups and deliveries, reducing wait time
• Maintain detailed logs and ensure compliance with all DOT regulations
• Communicate with dispatch for route optimization and delivery updates
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Build consistent miles through predictable scheduling

What We're Looking For

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record and minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
• HAZMAT endorsement preferred
• Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and background screening
