About the Role
As a CDL-A truck driver with Deep South Freight, you'll operate our van equipment across multiple states and Canadian territories, hauling diverse freight loads on dedicated regional routes. We hold operating authority throughout all 48 states plus Canada, giving us a stable customer base and consistent work opportunities that translate to predictable income and reliable schedules for our drivers.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate commercial van equipment on assigned regional routes with consistent, predictable driving schedules
- Transport various commodities across the Southeast and beyond, maintaining our reputation for on-time, damage-free delivery
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logbooks per federal compliance standards
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, shippers, and receivers to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean driving record and uphold Deep South Freight's safety and service standards
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with a clean driving record
- Professional experience operating commercial trucks, preferably in contract carrier or truckload roles
