Director of Building Automation

Oracle is hiring a Director of Building Automation in Archer, Laramie County for a full-time leadership role. In this position, you will architect and oversee building automation strategy across OCI's global data center infrastructure, establishing governance frameworks, technical standards, and operational excellence for mission-critical facilities worldwide.

About the Role

As Director of Building Automation, you will own the strategic vision and execution of automation systems that ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Oracle's data center portfolio. This role combines technical expertise with leadership accountability, requiring you to set multi-year direction for building management systems, operational technology architecture, security protocols, alarming systems, and analytics platforms that support hyperscale infrastructure operations.

What You'll Do

• Develop and enforce automation strategy, architecture standards, and best practices for building management systems across global data centers
• Oversee operational technology (OT) controls design, integration, and deployment to ensure safe and compliant facility operations
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives specific to building automation systems and OT environments, protecting critical infrastructure from evolving threats
• Direct implementation of advanced alarming, monitoring, and analytics capabilities that provide real-time visibility into facility performance
• Establish integration frameworks that connect building systems, security systems, and data center operations platforms
• Build and mentor high-performing teams responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting building automation solutions
• Partner with OCI infrastructure, security, and operations teams to align automation strategy with business objectives

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years of experience in building automation, facility management systems, or operational technology engineering
• Proven track record in data center operations, building systems architecture, or large-scale infrastructure management
• Deep expertise in building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, power distribution, and related OT platforms
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles as applied to building automation and operational technology environments
• Leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional projects at enterprise scale
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, and business functions
