About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional, you'll work directly with individuals to help them achieve greater independence, maintain their health and safety, and participate actively in community life. What You'll Do
- Assist individuals with personal care, grooming, and activities of daily living
- Manage medication reminders and support health-related routines
- Provide transportation to medical appointments, community activities, and social outings
- Support meal planning, food preparation, and nutritional wellness
- Help maintain safe and clean living spaces
- Document daily activities and maintain accurate records
- Communicate progress and concerns with supervisors, family members, and healthcare providers
- Encourage community involvement and help individuals pursue their interests
- Advocate respectfully for the rights and dignity of those you serve
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
- Ability to pass a background screening
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Genuine compassion and patience with diverse individuals
- Dependable work ethic and consistent reliability
- Physical capability to assist with mobility and personal tasks
- Willingness to work flexible, part-time schedules
