Join millenniumsoft as an Analytical Chemist I in our Sparks, Maryland facility, located in Baltimore County. This is a full-time, onsite contract role supporting analytical chemistry initiatives for a leading medical device manufacturer.
About the Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented analytical chemist to contribute to our laboratory team for a 12-month contract period. You'll deliver analytical chemistry support that drives quality and innovation, working on a full-time basis (40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, onsite). In this position, you'll utilize various analytical instruments to analyze samples, troubleshoot equipment issues, and generate accurate results that inform product development and quality assurance processes.
What You'll Do
- Perform analytical testing using various analytical instruments and laboratory equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide analytical chemistry support for product development and quality control
- Prepare, analyze, and document test samples according to established protocols and regulatory requirements
- Troubleshoot analytical instruments and maintain detailed records of instrument performance and calibration
- Contribute to method development and validation efforts as assigned
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and procedures
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, LC-MS, or spectroscopy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented laboratory environment
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and data recording practices
- Valid authorization to work in the United States as a US citizen or green card holder
