Clean Harbors is hiring a CleanPack Chemist (CDL) in Lugo, Los Angeles County for a full-time role dedicated to environmental field operations and hazardous materials management. We sponsor CDL training, offer regular overtime, and value experienced professionals ready to make an impact on compliance and safety.

About the Role

As a CleanPack Chemist, you'll work Monday through Friday, 5 AM to 5 PM, managing the critical process of collecting, categorizing, and preparing chemical waste for proper disposal. This position is based in the field, bringing you directly to customer sites where you'll ensure every container meets federal, state, and local environmental standards. Overtime and additional shifts are available as needed.

What You'll Do

• Receive, assess, and categorize industrial and hazardous chemical waste according to regulatory requirements
• Safely transfer and consolidate compatible materials using proper containment methods
• Complete documentation and labeling in strict compliance with DOT and EPA guidelines
• Conduct quality inspections before material transport to minimize environmental and legal risk
• Work across diverse customer sites—manufacturing plants, laboratories, industrial facilities—adapting to different waste streams
• Maintain detailed records and communicate findings to ensure full regulatory compliance

What We're Looking For

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one with our sponsorship
• Demonstrated knowledge of hazardous waste classification, handling, and federal transportation rules
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols in all field conditions
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple waste streams efficiently
• Physical capability to lift, move, and handle containers and equipment regularly
• Experience in environmental, chemical, or industrial field operations (preferred)
