About the Role

AdventHealth is seeking an experienced Senior Cook to oversee daily kitchen operations and meal preparation at our Parker location. This is a hands-on leadership position for a skilled culinary professional who combines technical expertise with a commitment to patient-centered care and food safety excellence.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, menus, and dietary specifications
• Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance feedback
• Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards in all kitchen operations
• Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost control while minimizing waste
• Ensure meals meet nutritional requirements and accommodate special diets and allergies
• Monitor food quality, plating, and presentation standards
• Collaborate with nutrition services and dietary staff to support patient care goals
• Troubleshoot kitchen issues and maintain equipment in working condition

What We're Looking For

• Proven culinary experience as a cook or chef, with demonstrated supervisory or lead kitchen experience
• Proficiency in large-scale food preparation for institutional or healthcare settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and HACCP principles
• Ability to work full-time day shift and adapt to rotating schedules as needed
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills under pressure
• Ability to lead, mentor, and communicate effectively with a diverse kitchen team
• Physical capability to stand, lift, and perform kitchen duties throughout the shift
