About the Role
As a CDL Class A Shuttle Driver, you'll operate commercial vehicles transporting goods that fuel Performance Foodservice's regional distribution network. This role focuses on safe, compliant, and on-time operation of shuttle routes, supporting the food service industry's dependence on reliable product delivery across Kentucky.
What You'll Do
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely on local and regional shuttle routes
- Complete assigned transportation runs between distribution facilities and service locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Maintain DOT-compliant logs and delivery documentation
- Ensure on-time delivery performance while following all traffic and safety regulations
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route status and any operational issues
- Support the efficiency and reliability of Performance Foodservice's supply operations
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL Class A license required
- Clean driving record with ability to pass background and drug screening
- Proven commercial vehicle operating experience
- Strong focus on safety, compliance, and vehicle maintenance
- Reliable, detail-oriented approach to logistics and scheduling
- Effective communication skills with dispatch and team coordination
