Team Member Services
Team Member Services is seeking a Consumer Access Specialist to join our team for part-time evening and night shifts. As a Consumer Access Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and members, helping them navigate access to healthcare services, answer questions, and resolve inquiries during off-hours when many people need support.
About the Role
This part-time, nights position focuses on delivering exceptional service to patients and consumers during evening and night hours. You'll work in a healthcare environment where responsiveness and clear communication directly impact how people experience our organization.
What You'll Do
- Answer inbound inquiries from patients and members seeking information about services, appointments, and healthcare access
- Process consumer requests and direct them to appropriate departments or resources
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and follow up on outstanding requests
- Assist with registration, eligibility verification, and information collection
- Respond professionally and courteously to questions about benefits, policies, and available services
- Collaborate with team members to ensure continuity of service across shifts
- Identify and escalate complex issues to appropriate supervisors or specialists
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently during evening and night shifts
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Comfort with computer systems and ability to learn healthcare-specific software
- Professional demeanor and patience when assisting callers
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Healthcare or customer service experience is a plus
