KDMC Ashland Hospital Corporation is hiring a full-time Electrician I to join our engineering team in the US. This is a hands-on electrical installation and maintenance position where you'll support the critical infrastructure that keeps our healthcare facility running smoothly and safely.
About the Role
As an Electrician I at KDMC Ashland Hospital Corporation, you'll be responsible for the installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems throughout our healthcare facility. Working under the guidance of senior electricians and engineers, you'll ensure all electrical work meets code requirements and operates reliably. Your contributions will be essential to maintaining safe, functional environments where patients receive care.
What You'll Do
- Install, troubleshoot, and test electrical systems and components following blueprints and technical specifications
- Inspect electrical installations and equipment to identify defects and ensure code compliance
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment throughout the facility
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Assist with equipment repairs and replacements using appropriate tools and safety procedures
- Maintain detailed records of work completed and equipment conditions
- Follow all electrical codes, safety standards, and hospital protocols
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid electrician license or certification appropriate for your state
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety practices
- Experience with electrical installation, testing, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing, climbing, and lifting
- Reliable transportation and willingness to respond to maintenance needs as required
