United Dairy Farmers is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician specializing in Refrigeration for our Norwood, Ohio ice cream manufacturing facility. If you have hands-on experience maintaining industrial refrigeration systems and want steady technical work at a 70,000-square-foot production plant, this role is for you.
About the Role
Your expertise will keep our refrigeration systems running at peak efficiency. You'll maintain and troubleshoot Ammonia and Glycol refrigeration equipment that's critical to our ice cream manufacturing operations. This is hands-on technical work where you'll directly support facility uptime and product quality.
What You'll Do
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot refrigeration equipment and machinery across the facility
- Service both Ammonia and Glycol refrigeration systems following safety and compliance standards
- Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize production downtime
- Inspect tools, components, and systems to identify wear or potential failures before they occur
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules and facility operations
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and respond promptly to service requests
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience maintaining refrigeration systems in food manufacturing or industrial environments
- Working knowledge of Ammonia and Glycol refrigeration systems
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read schematics and follow technical specifications
- Commitment to safety protocols and compliance requirements
