Lumen is hiring a full-time Attorney, Partnerships in Warren, Macomb County to support our growing network infrastructure and business partnerships. We're building trusted connectivity solutions for the AI-powered world, and we need experienced legal counsel to help forge and protect our most critical strategic relationships.
About the Role
As Attorney, Partnerships, you'll provide essential legal guidance across our business expansion initiatives. Your work will encompass partnership agreements, joint ventures, and strategic collaborations—ensuring each is structured soundly, negotiated fairly, and managed compliantly throughout its lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate partnership agreements, vendor contracts, and service agreements
- Conduct legal due diligence on prospective partners and assess contractual risks
- Advise business teams on legal implications of proposed partnerships and collaborations
- Manage the complete lifecycle of partnership contracts from execution through renewal and termination
- Ensure all partnership documentation complies with applicable laws and company policies
- Collaborate with business development, operations, and executive leadership on strategic initiatives
- Handle contract disputes, amendments, and issue resolution with existing partners
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and bar admission in Michigan or another U.S. state
- 3+ years of legal experience in partnerships, contracts, or commercial law
- Strong negotiation and contract drafting capabilities
- Experience with due diligence, risk assessment, and legal analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Experience in technology, telecommunications, or infrastructure industries is a plus
