Solidus Resources, a US-based gold development company, seeks a full-time Health and Safety Coordinator for our operations in Winnemucca, Nevada. You'll lead health and safety initiatives across the Spring Valley Gold Project, ensuring rigorous standards as we advance this asset through development and into production.
About the Role
As Health and Safety Coordinator at Solidus Resources, you'll establish and maintain safety programs and protocols across our Nevada operations. Based in Winnemucca, you'll work directly with site teams and leadership to create a proactive safety culture that protects our workforce and supports our development goals.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety programs aligned with regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate risks
- Investigate incidents and near-misses; document findings and coordinate corrective actions
- Deliver safety training and ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local regulations
- Lead safety meetings and communication initiatives to build awareness and engagement
- Maintain comprehensive safety records, documentation, and reporting systems
- Partner with management on safety planning and continuous improvement
- Manage personal protective equipment, safety equipment programs, and workplace inspections
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree a plus
- Demonstrated experience in health and safety coordination, construction, mining, or industrial settings
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and commitment to regulatory compliance
- Strong communication and training abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
- Attention to detail and dedication to continuous improvement
- Willingness to work field-based in Winnemucca and surrounding Humboldt County operations
