About the Role

As a Home Care Aide with Addus Homecare, you'll deliver hands-on, person-centered care in a one-on-one home setting. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling that allows you to balance work with other commitments while earning $18.75 per hour, plus travel reimbursement for visits to client homes.

What You'll Do

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide light housekeeping and meal preparation support
• Help with mobility and safe transfers using proper techniques
• Monitor client health and report any concerns to a supervisor or case manager
• Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce isolation
• Transport clients to medical appointments and other outings when needed
• Maintain accurate care notes and follow individualized care plans
• Respond promptly to client requests and adapt to changing needs

What We're Looking For

• Genuine compassion for seniors and commitment to their well-being
• High school diploma or equivalent; Home Care Aide certification preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow care instructions
• Physical ability to assist clients safely, including lifting and transferring
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Clear background check and willingness to be fingerprinted
• Flexibility to adapt to individual client needs and preferences
