CommuniCare is hiring a Full Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at Greenwood Healthcare Center in Greenwood, Indiana. This is your opportunity to join an in-house rehabilitation team where you'll work directly with patients and experienced physical therapists to deliver meaningful therapeutic care.
About the Role
In this full-time position, you'll assist licensed physical therapists in helping patients regain mobility, rebuild strength, and achieve their recovery goals. As a valued member of our permanent team, you'll provide direct patient care, execute treatment plans, and contribute to a supportive healthcare environment focused on healing.
What You'll Do
- Implement therapeutic exercises and treatment modalities under physical therapist direction
- Help patients with stretching, strengthening, and functional mobility activities
- Document patient sessions and treatment responses for medical records
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and recovery strategies
- Maintain a clean, safe treatment environment and manage equipment
- Work collaboratively with the clinical care team to support patient progress
What We're Looking For
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license or certification
- Proven ability to work compassionately with diverse patient populations
- Physical capability to assist, lift, and transfer patients safely
- Strong attention to detail in clinical documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A patient-first mindset and commitment to quality care
