About the Role
As an Associate Attorney at Graves & King LLP., you'll take a leading role in defending and resolving personal injury claims. This position is ideal for an attorney with a minimum of three years of hands-on litigation experience in the defense sector, ready to expand your practice and work on meaningful cases.
What You'll Do
- Draft and file comprehensive pleadings and respond to opposing counsel motions
- Manage all phases of discovery, including document review, interrogatories, and requests for admission
- Conduct depositions and prepare witness examinations
- Evaluate case strength, liability exposure, and settlement value
- Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding case strategy and developments
- Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
- Research legal issues and prepare memoranda supporting trial strategy
- Handle law and motion practice, including briefing and oral arguments
What We're Looking For
- Minimum three years of defense-oriented litigation experience
- Proven expertise in personal injury defense matters
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
- Experience conducting discovery, depositions, and mediations
- Licensed to practice law in California
- Demonstrated professional judgment and client advocacy
