About the Role
As a full-time cook, you'll work in a dynamic kitchen environment where your culinary skills and efficiency directly shape every plate that leaves our kitchen. This position demands attention to detail, food safety expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and plating standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain equipment cleanliness and function
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace throughout shifts
- Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and food quality to ensure consistent results
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment
- Stock and prepare ingredients and station setups for service
- Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols without exception
- Respond to ticket flow and adjust priorities to meet service demands
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience cooking in a restaurant or high-volume foodservice kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen sanitation standards
- Proficiency with commercial cooking equipment and techniques
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility with shift scheduling, including evenings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
