About the Role
As a Leasing Consultant in Sunnyvale, you'll be the welcoming face of our community, guiding prospects through their leasing journey while building lasting relationships with residents. This role combines customer service excellence with sales expertise in a fast-paced, dynamic apartment leasing environment. You'll work a standard 40-hour weekly schedule with competitive base pay ranging from $44,500 to $62,500 annually.
What You'll Do
- Conduct engaging property tours and showcase apartment features to prospective residents
- Qualify prospects and understand their housing needs and preferences
- Present lease options and negotiate terms to reach mutually beneficial agreements
- Prepare and process lease documentation with accuracy and attention to detail
- Follow up with prospects to address questions and move leads toward occupancy
- Maintain knowledge of current market trends and competitive community offerings
- Contribute to occupancy and revenue goals through proactive leasing strategies
- Provide exceptional customer service that reflects AvalonBay's commitment to quality
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse clientele
- Sales experience or demonstrated success in customer-facing roles
- Ability to work independently while maintaining focus on team occupancy goals
- Proficiency with computer systems and property management software platforms
- Professional demeanor and attention to detail in handling leasing transactions
- Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends as business needs require
