About the Role
As a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic with Clean Harbors, you'll perform critical repairs and preventative maintenance on our commercial fleet. This is a full-time position offering a competitive hourly wage of $27 to $37 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications. After your first 90 days, you'll have the opportunity to discuss your performance and potential wage progression.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrain components
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to extend vehicle life and minimize downtime
- Inspect vehicles for safety compliance and mechanical integrity
- Document all maintenance and repair work accurately
- Identify parts failures and recommend timely replacements
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine operation and repair
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems using standard tools and test equipment
- Commitment to safety standards and best practices
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver's license
