About the Role

As a Senior/Lead Performance Measurement Business Analyst, you'll take ownership of designing, implementing, and refining performance measurement frameworks that enable data-driven decision-making. You'll work at the analytical forefront of our Middle Office, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into measurable KPIs and actionable insights. Your work will directly support performance management initiatives that span operational, financial, and strategic dimensions across Marathon Petroleum.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop comprehensive performance measurement systems and dashboards
• Analyze business processes and identify key performance indicators aligned with organizational goals
• Build data models and reporting frameworks that drive visibility into business performance
• Support performance management programs by providing analytical rigor and insights
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, validate methodologies, and communicate findings
• Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements
• Document processes, methodologies, and standards for consistency and scalability

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, performance measurement, or related analytical roles
• Advanced proficiency with data analysis tools, SQL, and business intelligence platforms
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, measurable metrics
• Excellent communication skills—ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience with performance management systems and KPI development
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
