Surgical ICU Registered Nurse

Medical City Dallas is seeking a skilled Surgical ICU Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill post-surgical patients in our Little Elm, Denton County facility. About the Role

As a Surgical ICU Registered Nurse at Medical City Dallas, you will provide direct patient care in our modern intensive care unit, working alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals dedicated to clinical excellence and patient outcomes. You'll play a vital role in the perioperative recovery process, supporting patients as they progress toward healing and discharge.

What You'll Do

• Assess, monitor, and respond to the changing needs of post-surgical patients in the intensive care environment
• Administer medications, manage intravenous therapies, and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Provide education and reassurance to patients and families navigating the ICU experience
• Maintain safe patient environments and adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols
• Respond promptly to patient deterioration and participate in critical interventions and resuscitation

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure in the state of Texas
• Experience or demonstrated commitment to working in critical care or intensive care nursing
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in high-acuity settings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Compassionate patient care approach with attention to detail and patient safety
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment
