About the Role

As a Physical Therapist at our Sarasota County inpatient rehabilitation hospital, you'll develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans that help patients restore mobility, strength, and independence. Working in an interdisciplinary team environment, you'll collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive care that accelerates patient recovery.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to establish baseline function and identify rehabilitation goals
• Design individualized therapeutic exercise programs targeting mobility, strength, balance, and functional capacity
• Provide hands-on physical therapy treatment including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular reeducation
• Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans based on clinical response
• Educate patients and families about injury prevention, home exercise programs, and adaptive strategies for discharge
• Participate in team rounds and care planning meetings to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For

• Current physical therapy license (PT) in the state of Florida
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
• Experience or strong interest in inpatient rehabilitation settings
• Strong clinical reasoning, attention to detail, and commitment to patient-centered care
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
