What You'll Do

  • Conduct environmental assessments, inspections, and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with state and federal environmental regulations

  • Investigate environmental concerns and violations, gathering data to support agency decisions
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and the public on environmental projects and initiatives
  • Provide technical guidance on environmental standards and best practices to stakeholders
  • Support permit reviews, environmental permits, and license applications
  • Participate in field operations involving potential hazardous conditions

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology, biology, chemistry, or related field
  • Knowledge of Florida environmental laws, regulations, and protection standards
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the service area
  • Commitment to public service and environmental stewardship

Compensation

This position offers an annual salary of $60,000, plus $3,120 annually in hazardous duty pay. Full-time state employment benefits are included.
