About the Role
As Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions, you will play a key role in building a diverse cohort of graduate students. Working within the admissions office, you'll contribute to strategic recruitment initiatives, review applications, communicate with prospective candidates, and support the overall enrollment process to advance the school's mission of developing international affairs leaders.
What You'll Do
- Participate in graduate student recruitment through outreach events, campus visits, and networking initiatives
- Review and evaluate graduate applications using established admissions criteria and institutional standards
- Communicate with prospective and admitted students regarding applications, decisions, and enrollment
- Maintain accurate admissions records and support enrollment management systems
- Collaborate with faculty, academic departments, and other offices to support program goals and student success
- Assist with admissions events, virtual information sessions, and recruitment activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of admissions processes and candidate experience
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred)
- Experience in admissions, enrollment management, or student services
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to evaluate academic credentials and assess candidate fit for graduate programs
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with database management systems and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated interest in higher education and graduate student recruitment
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
