Clean Harbors is hiring a full-time OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator — a Truck Driver based out of Baltimore, Baltimore County — to join a team where safety isn't just a policy, it's a core value.
About the Role
As an Owner Operator with Clean Harbors, you'll run a consistent over-the-road dry van route averaging 2,800–3,000 miles per week, with weekly home time built into the schedule. Compensation averages $200,000–$250,000 annually, with a pay structure that covers all on-duty time through a combination of hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and mileage pay — so your time is always valued, not just your miles.
What You'll Do
- Operate a Class A dry van tractor-trailer safely and efficiently across designated OTR lanes
- Maintain consistent, on-time performance across an established weekly route averaging 2,800–3,000 miles
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with FMCSA standards
- Keep accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Hours of Service regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route conditions, delays, and delivery status
- Uphold Clean Harbors' safety-first culture on every load and every mile
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Owner Operator status with your own qualified tractor
- Proven OTR dry van experience and comfort running long-distance routes
- Working knowledge of ELD systems and full DOT regulatory compliance
- Strong commitment to on-road safety and professional conduct
- Ability to work independently while staying in reliable contact with the operations team
