Media Specialist (Mane Media Productions), Student Employee

Lindenwood University is hiring a part-time Media Specialist to join Mane Media Productions, the university's student-staffed media team based on campus in Saint Charles, Missouri.

About the Role

As a Media Specialist Student Employee with Mane Media Productions, you'll work alongside fellow students and university staff to produce professional-quality media content that represents Lindenwood University. This is a hands-on, part-time position ideal for students pursuing degrees in communications, digital media, journalism, marketing, or related fields who want real-world production experience before graduation.

What You'll Do

• Capture photo and video content at campus events, athletic competitions, and university functions
• Edit and post-produce video and photography assets for use across digital platforms
• Support live streaming and broadcast production for university programming
• Operate and maintain cameras, audio equipment, lighting rigs, and related production gear
• Collaborate with the Mane Media Productions team to plan and execute media shoots
• Organize and manage digital media files, archives, and production assets
• Assist with graphic design or motion graphics as needed for video projects

What We're Looking For

• Current enrollment as a student at Lindenwood University (required for student employee eligibility)
• Hands-on experience or coursework in video production, photography, or broadcast media
• Familiarity with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent
• Ability to operate DSLR or mirrorless cameras and basic audio/lighting equipment
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative mindset and professional demeanor when representing the university
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends when campus events require coverage
