CDL Driver Class B- Hazmat

Clean Harbors is hiring a full-time CDL Driver Class B with Hazmat Endorsement at its Dominion Park, Onandaga County location — a hands-on transportation role at the forefront of North America's environmental and industrial services industry.

About the Role

As a CDL Class B Hazmat Driver, you will be responsible for the safe, compliant pickup and delivery of hazardous waste materials throughout the region. This position operates within a tightly regulated environment where safety protocols, DOT compliance, and environmental responsibility are central to every route and job assignment.

What You'll Do

• Operate Class B commercial vehicles to transport hazardous waste in full compliance with federal DOT and EPA regulations
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any deficiencies promptly
• Accurately complete hazardous waste manifests, shipping documentation, and required driver logs
• Follow proper loading, securing, and unloading procedures for hazardous materials at customer sites and disposal facilities
• Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times in the field
• Communicate clearly with dispatch and site supervisors to coordinate pickups and delivery schedules
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and report mechanical issues in accordance with company policy
• Uphold all Clean Harbors safety standards and participate in ongoing compliance training

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an active Hazmat endorsement — required
• Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) with no disqualifying violations
• Working knowledge of DOT hazardous materials transportation regulations
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
• Physical ability to perform loading and unloading duties, including lifting as required by the role
• Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset in all on-road and on-site activities
• Reliable, punctual, and professional — capable of representing Clean Harbors at customer locations
